where can I buy Heinz tomato frito?

That's it really. It's a delicious fried tomato passata that is almost impossible to find but adds a smokey gorgeousness to all tom dishes. Asda have stopped, sainsbury too. Any one know?

Morrisons don't stock it anymore - neither do Tesco.
I'm going to try Old El Paso original Fajita cooking sauce 395g jar instead, which seems to be widely available in UK supermarkets. Having Googled T F found that it's fried tomato with onion and garlic, I reckon I could do a creditable job with a tin of chopped tomato added to fried onion and garlic and sweated down a bit. I'm fed up with chasing Mr Heinz and his Frito all round the place!

If you're in the Milton Keynes area then Lakers Supermarket in Willen will buy it in for you from Fosters. They just got 2 trays for us and I think he purchased more than the 2 trays and is giving it a go. So worth giving them a try - very helpful and friendly shop. So worth supporting them if possible
