Mine include:
1. Age 16 on Calendar Dreams (a sort of regional Jim'll Fix it) riding an elephant
2. As an extra (a prostitute) in an episode of Kavanagh QC
3. When my daughter was toddler she was accosted by a dodgy looking Santa on a Scarborough street. When he grabbed her I batted him, not knowing he was a TV interviewer asking kids what they wanted for Xmas
4. I appeared in every episode of a 6 part documentary filmed for the now defunct BBC Choice channel. The videos are kept under lock & key until I die as they are very embarrassing.
There have been other TV appearances but I won't bore you with any more at the moment
I played a body back in about 1960. We didn't even have telly then so I never saw it, but no great acting skills were required. jno jnr appeared in a Sainsbury's ad, playing with his rugby team.
I was once on TV when they were covering Cannes Film Festival and once more in the background when they interviewed my wife about the first Sarajevo film festival for a documentary- never anything more exciting than that I'm afraid.
I unexpectedly appeared on Bbc world news, CNN and eurosport after Jessica Ennis won gold in world athletics champs in Berlin afte she crossed the line I was shown jumping up and down like a lunatic in the stadium screaming my head off!!!
Never been ont box, but I was on Mark Radcliffe's late night show when I answered a question about 3 records that linked. I won a mug & a Supergrass CD which I've never played.
I appeared in a BBC documentary 1974 if i remember correctly, it was called This England it was about ' Northern Soul ' filmed at Wigan Casino. Myself and some friends were filmed dancing and also interviewed. My friends and I were also filmed entering the club amongst the multitude. I remember thinking God I hope my mom doesn't see this LOL.
on Top Of The Form
with a very young David Dimbleby as part of the production crew ,I got his autograph, I remember him coming up to me to ask if I wanted it saying "I ,m going to be famous one day"
Evian, yes I remember snippets. My most abiding memory was a very loud bang. When I ran out into the hallway of the flat I was in, the front door was lying flat on the floor and there was a sea of blue lights outside. Obviously the police didn't bother to knock.
In a Christmas Songs of Praise when I was in a choir many years ago - the camera focused on my face for about five seconds and my mum insisted on showing the video to any visitors for the next 20 years or so.
Then years later in a documentary about hypnotherapy and regression, when I was a 'subject' for my friend who was a hypnotherapist.
A couple of news interviews, Market Kitchen, audience member of a channel five karaoke prog hosted by Suggs, in the stand at a couple of athletics fixtures.
My name makes an appearance in the credits of some TV progs.
A "Not on TV" appearance happened when I was about twenty. A late night phone call from my sister telling me to put the TV on. I did and there was my double. Features, mannerisms, unusual red hair and voice. It was creepy. But what was worse was she was one of a group of prostitutes being interviewed about their work. Everyone I was at school with who watched the programme would be sure they knew what I was now doing for a living.
No factor 30, but I have been on Jerry Springer. Booked tickets for the show in Chicago when we were out there. We could be seen in the audience briefly. Enjoyed it.
