Growing Tatties in a bin query
5 Answers
I am growing four maincrop potatoes in my old plastic bin. I planted them with four inches of soil below them and have been adding soil from time to time to cover the green foliage. When should I stop covering the plants?. The soil level is up to about two foot now. I have also another variety growing in a black bag soil level on them is about six inches above the tuber.
Any advice would be appreciated.

keep adding soil everytime the shoots come through till you are at the top of the container. This will give the longest underground stems and the most spuds.
