help!!! squeaky boots!!

Just bought a new pair of boots The left one squeaks at the top across the ankle every time I take a step! What can I do to stop this? It's getting embarassing!

I would take them back to the shop and see if you can get them changed.

My friend had a pair of shoes that squeaked, from next actually, she took them back and changed them, they were fine about it

Did you buy them on a credit card? There is an old wives tale that boots squeak until they're paid for!

Seriously though, take them back and complain.

You could try vaseline but that is a long shot. If it is the heel then it could be more serious.
