I have asked for numbers and some people can be a bit rude/abrupt. I buy the paper but I am overseas at the mo and you dont get the suplements and my unnderstanding is if you miss 2 weeks or ask for 2 replacement numbers yourr collection goes back to zero, I am on 1100 point so dont want to lose them, Is this such a crime?
If you haven't seen my answer to the previous thread about Mail Rewards, the site now has a link for missing numbers. It comes up on the left hand side after you type in your password.
ahh, of course, I didn't think of that.....
...but I hope it's of some use to some people....
I think the Mail should do something about it. I know it has good following abroad, and surely it wouldn't be difficult for them to print a number in the papers they sell outside the UK. It might be worth writing to the editor......
All UK newspapers sold outside the UK are cut-down versions and don't include supplements - they also cost an arm and a leg and don't allow entry into any competitions if you don't reside in the UK, so I doubt if they would print any numbers.
aroseythorn - That's spooky. You say users have been rude and abrupt to you also. That's such a coincidence. Do you think it may be because both you and strudledoodle joined AnswerBank on an unlucky day last week - the 13th?
I still doubt whether the Mail would print the numbers in their overseas editions as they are aimed at non-UK residents. No harm in asking them to do so, of course.
I was simply agreeing with strudeldoodle, I too have had people tell me to not be cheap and buy the paper yet they dont know my circumstanes. I was recommended this site by a friend who said it would help while I was away
Well, why not explain that you can't get the paper with the numbers, and why? I'm sure people will be more helpful if they don't think you're just too tight to buy the paper.
