So-called drought
12 Answers
I live in Swansea and I went for a drive around the reservoirs at the Elan Valley this week. They are all overflowing and looked wonderful.
What I wanted to say, if you live in Birmingham or Wales, was to ignore what the authorites say about a "water shortage" and "a drought".
Don't believe a word of it ! They are trying to panic us again. They are like the little boy who cried wolf. Flush your loos as much as you like, kep your cars nice a clean, and don't bathe with a friend. ( unlike you want to of course !)

Whether there are drought conditions or not, anywhere in the country, don't you think that water should be conserved anyway? It's a precious commodity and we are reliant on the weather for it so why waste it even at times when it is plentiful? I have never seen the sense of wasting something just because it's there, there could be a time when we desperately need water and there's not much around...so for me it makes sense to think about it and save as much as you can at all times.
