Samsung s8000 jet

Hi, my son's S8000 jet has two problems, first - when selecting txt messages the error message "loading failed" appears and when activating the camera the error message "unable to start application while file list is being updated. Try later" appears. He has tried hard resetting it and countless setting changes but to no avail. Many thanks for any answers - Insulindude
