ford focus lights issue

when i put my foot on the brake pedal the front side lights come on. also the break lights at the rear stay on when the lights are turned on,anyhelp would be greatly appreciated as it has failed the mot on it. cheers bri

Check your brake light globes, they should be dual filiment. A single filiment globe will cause the problem you are experiencing.

Sounds like you have a bad earth somewhere. Check all connections to earth for rust or broken wires.

Have you just changed any bulbs? if so this may be the problem.
