Does this company still exist? I have some shares with them. They were previously called Amicable Smaller Enterprises Trust PLC. Does anybody have any information on them now?

(a) All UK companies must be registered with Companies House. I've had a look at the register on their web site and this company is not listed. Either it doesn't exist anymore or has changed its name. If you have the company's registered number (a 7 or 8 digit number that should appear on all company stationery) you could give Companies House a call (0870 3333636) and see what has happened to the company.

I believe that this company is now called Brittannic Smaller Companies VCT (Venture Capital Trust). Ring Northern Registrars on 01484 600900 to check your shareholding and certificate. Their head office is 0113 294 5000. Let me know how it turns out!! Regards, A tired stockbroker!

I have managed to trace the company, they are now part of Brittanic Asset Management. I managed to contact them through Computer Share. Thanks to all for your help.
