Can somebody help me please, I am trying to find the name of a film. I have been through wiki but could not find it. The film starts with Stan as a rep or something visiting Ollies house and breaking something, so Ollie goes to Stans car and breaks something on that. Stan goes back to the house and does more damage and Ollie damages Stans car etc etc, until both car and house are demolished. I remember watching it as a youngster and would love to see it again.

Many Thanks for any help.

i remebrer james finlayson being at the recieving end of a lot of L & H mischief

incidentally, james finlayson's reactions were an inspiration for matt groening's creation of homer simpson ..... d'oh!
Their short films were far better than their full length films. I wish they'd show them on TV again- I remember when they were often shown on BBC2 in school holidays and early evenings.
so do i. showing our age - factor30?

Thanks for your replies but it wasn't that one. The one I am searching for contained only the two of them, it was a short, but wasn't from the silent era. Nothing was said, but no captions either.

Thanks bibblebub, but not that one either. As I have said, I have searched for this film and been unable to find it. I remember watching it on the BBC when they were doing old reruns, never seen it since.

From Amazon, advertising their products
I remember one called Tit for Tat. That may be the one
I have that boxset and the only one of the films in which both a car and a house are damaged is Big Business. The only films in which a car gets deliberately damaged are that one, Two Tars and The Hoosegow (in which it is a prison governor's car).

In Tit For Tat they are shopkeepers and have a feud with the shopkeeper next door.
I think it may be this- it starts slowly but seems to end in the way you say

No factor30 I bought that one thinking that was it
Are you sure it's not Big Business?
