The songs were rubbish, I agree with Wendilla, Britains Got talent DID have much better songs. Feel sorry for Englebert but at least he got a lot of publicity before the show which has brought him back in the limelight again in his "twilight years" .............
The only way this will ever be a 'song' contest is if the nationality of the contestants was not reveled until after the votes so that voting was on the songs only. Fat chance.
I belive Englebert has a large following and is still doing sell out concerts so he does not need to 'come back' he has just been out of the spotlight.

Most of the entries I saw were absolute rubbish. However, I did like the Swedish entry and the German one was OK too, but nothing excited me. Didn't see all of the entries, which is probaby a good thing, lol. I absolutely hated Englebert's song, the appearance of the act ... everything about it really. It made Britain look sooo outdated and sooo boring! Why on earth do we bother? It used to be fun to watch, now it is just tedious! Hence I didn't wtch it all.
