Where id the missing link between apes and humans? We have the apes, we have the end product (us) so where's the step inbetween?

Have you heard of a historian called Zecharia Sitchin ? He suggests that extra-terrestrials landed on the earth and mixed their genes with that of apes to produce Human Beings . The ET's needed intelligent workers to mine gold for them which they needed to repair the atmosphere on their planet . The ancient Sumerians had clay tablets which indicate that they knew about the asteroids and Saturn's rings .
