Author Similar to John Grisham

Hi all. I really enjoy John Grisham's books, love the ins and outs of the legal world and how the law works. Can anyone recommend an author similar to him as ive read nearly all his book!!

I've read all of Michael Connelly's books, the majority are about a detective called Harry Bosch and are more cop thriller than legal thriller, with the exception of The Lincoln Lawyer and The Fifth Witness, neither are overly US legal though. Scott Turow is another good one for the courtroom.

They're not courtroom / legal thrillers though but really good nonetheless.

John Lescroart's lawyer hero is Dismas Hardy. Excellent legal stuff.

But as general fictional characters you can't beat Lee Child's Reacher and Robert B Parker's Spenser.

Best of a number of excellent fictional detectives is surely J D Robb's NYPD Lieutenant Eve Dallas. But you should read the first three of this series (now about 30) in the right order so as to get the relationship between Dallas and the fabulous Roarke right fom the beginning.

If you want to read the Lee Child Books (and I highly recommend that you do - they are a great read) it doesn't matter which order you read them in. In fact - his most recent one is set before all the others! Don't read them one after the other - they become a bit "samey". But they are all fantastic stories, and all stand alone without reading any of the others. Hope this helps x

Harlen Coben is a good author too, not really in the John Grisham mould. I dont think anyone can best John Grisham for legal/court drama novels.
