hi,my problem is this,I have a pakard bell diamond 1200 plus scanner,but I am unable to use it because every time I switch on I get a message saying;the computer cannot detect a scanner or camera,please make sure the device is switched on and is connected to the computer.I have checked and double checked,I've even uninstalled and re-installed the scanner but still get the same message.my daughter recently wanted to download some pics from her digital camera,and she got the same message help please thankx

Do the camera and scanner show up in the Device Manager? They should also be listed in the Scanners and Cameras folder in Control Panel.
If they are not, there may be a physical connection problem, in which case I suggest you try using a different USB port on the computer.

Its sounds like the usb driver is not recognising the scanner. This often happens and if you go into device manager, then select the usb drivers-a left click, go through these and look for a driver not being correctly installed. If you windows x/p this correctly will be done by the wizard.
