Rubbish gadgets
68 Answers
Over the years I've bought some gadgets that promised me everything and delivered nothing, or were useless in a very short time.
Top of my list are
Betamax video - worked great but became obsolete
A video recorder with handheld scanner (to scan the codes in the tv listings) - never took off
A handheld scanner to scan text books to pc. Why did I even think it would be successful? A nightmare to use.
What are your favourite gadget failures?

Yes hc4361, I can recommend them. The only snag I found with them was after crossing a very snowy supermarket car park successfully, they were a bit slippy inside the supermarket itself. It would have been better if I had taken them off for inside the shop, but I didn't. But apart from that they are very good. We went to my son's for Christmas and went on a 5 mile walk, in the snow, and I did not slip once.
