If you buy from a trader without having face to face contact or if you sign away from trade premises or sign a credit agreement in your own home you may be entitled to a “cooling off period”. After signing any credit agreement you should be given a copy of the agreement clearly setting out your cancellation rights

i was due to have the free cavity wall insulation installed in my home next month, we live in a new house and they came knocking on the door. they have starting doing it this week in various houses and made a right mess to the rendering which is cream, great big holes. So i am cancelling, they have not issued me with their cancellation policy so will not have a leg to stand on with trading standards. They should have written to me confirming the order outlining their terms of contract.
