Coronation memories...

We were living in two attic rooms having just returned to Belfast from England. The people who owned the house invited my parents down to watch the coronation on their television which had a screen about the size of a paperback book.
I didn't see any of it until it turned up on Pathé News in the cinema a while later.
Anyone else have memories to share?

tony if you look him up on wiki Richards was considered to be the best jockey in the world. He still holds the British record for the most wins and was Chamion Jockey 26 times.
Quite a record crafty.

and he's still chasing fillies...
Not love Tony. Just the Crown and Bible. Money Crown I mean. He`s not wandering around Skeggy with a crown on his head.....well I hope not.
Thanks craft, got my awards mixed up. Do you have time to look at my q in Eating Out?
I was five, I remember my parents taking me up to London to see the Coronation lights. The only part I remember was standing on the back platform of one of the old-style London buses, seeing the lights reflected in the river along the banks of the Thames. I can still see it in my mind now.
I thought every one wander's around Skeggy wearing a crown( or is that a frown ).
Or Kiss Me Quick and a desperate expression,Tony. Not that I would know!
Haven`t been to Skeggy since I accidentally signed up for a day out on the potato picker`s bus.
I know your Irish gness, but potato picking lol.
Yes and I can be touchy on that subject Tony. Close second to pinching my Fondant Fancy.
OK OK, I'll leave it.
