I have been texting a lovely guy for the princely time of about 2 years on and off, only seen a photo of him, never met him - until finally we decided to bite the bullet and meet face to face. It was electric. Seriously. Both of us left the evening on a high, but, he is seeing someone. We had a chance to meet face to face about 11 months ago but I bowed out at the last minute. Now Im regretting that big time. This is a no brainer isnt it ?

See, he's doing it already - your fault he's since met somebody else and is checking you out to see if you're the better option. Your fault he's in this dreadful position.
Run for the hills. I bet he hasn't told his girlfriend where he was during your meeting.

Naomi, he is 'mad' at me out of frustration as I am the same for not being able to meet him before - just not meant to be.
Tell him. I want you, do you want me? End of!

Beware, if he says you. He could possibly end up texting someone else while with you, he'd have done it before, think about it?
Well then, it's up to him to sort it out - and soon.
seems like hes got it made, one current and a spare.
Why is it 'just not meant to be'? He's not married - or is he? If he isn't, the problem is easily solved - and it's up to him to solve it immediately. Don't fall for excuses.
If he has met you, whilst with some other girl? he will meet others, when you become his girl. Chemistry or o chemistry, you got to think about the other girl involved here. Would you like this done to you? Prior to the amazing spark you guys had, he admittedly met you, before knowing this spark existed, meaning, he'd meet other girls. I'd go find a single guy, or karma will come back around. You got to play fair.
I missed your last post. So for the past 6 months you have been confiding in each other, flirting, developing a relationship all by text - but he failed to mention his girlfriend?

I suspect he is either lying so that he can his pretend girlfriend as a get out card; or he is a two timing cheating rat you shouldn't trust as far as you can throw him.
Got to say, I tend to agree with hc4361. Have you asked yourself why he didn't mention the girlfriend?
... and more importantly, have you asked him why he didn't mention the girlfriend?

I knew he was seeing someone, but we were just meeting for a casual drink as 'friends' to 'meet' at last after all this time, neither of us had no idea of how we'd feel, its total madness ! I went along just to put a face to a name so to speak nothing more. But at the end of the day he cant mess around with his partners feelings and mine for that matter.
Do you think you may be kidding yourself as to meeting up as just friends for a casual drink?

No hc4361, for me to finally meet him was nothing more than a meeting with a good friend, weird as it sounds, i really had no idea I would feel like this..its lame and random. I was under no illusion - and I certainly never expected this.
You may have missed the boat on this one , as he has a girl friend already. Forget him , move on as they say.He sounds a bit dodgy to me.
Don't build your expectations/excitement up too much....he has the decision to make and if he has fallen for you, he will make that cut quickly. I wouldn't count on that happening but if it does, great for you....

And remember, you wait for hours and two No6 buses come along within seconds......this can happen in relationships too.

No he is not married, but I have put a stop to it telling him that I wont play second fiddle to anyone least of all him and that I think it is awful that he is doing this to his current partner. Needless to say he now wont leave me alone and he is craving to see me again. I want to see him badly but I refuse to and I wont as I have said its all or nothing.
He sounds dodgy. I wouldn't trust him.
you dont even know him 100% do you??? as has been said i bet his current girlfriend doesnt know he met you for a casual drink does she??? so if he can lie to her and he has a relationship with her what do you think he thinks of your feelings???..not a lot...in my opinion...oh well its up to you i guess but im glad you say you wont play second fiddle to anyone...but if you get in a relationship with this guy you will play second fiddle..because a leapord never changes its spots..
Sounds like he has been playing both sides even though you two only met face to face a couple days ago. He has been flirting with you, while carrying on with someone else. Are you really sure he has just been in a relationship for 6 mos? And if that is true, are you sure he was not in a relationship with someone else before this one? I mean, you are going by what he says in a texted message, you’ve only just met face to face. Know any friends that know him you can ask? He has been betraying both of you. Neither one of you can really trust him/anyone like that. If he is willing to have a relationship and flirt with someone on the side, and then go as far as to meet the one he has been flirting with, while having no intention of leaving the relationship. That’s wrong. And remember this warning; it is a fact, “if he does this now, to someone, he will defiantly continue.” Meaning, if you are the one in a relationship with him, he’ll be flirting with someone else (on the side) through texted messages.
And always wandering and feeling as if you have to check up on your partner, please I hope you would be above this. If you can not trust from the start, if doubt and no trust are already there, nothing built will stand. It is doomed and all that will follow will be hurt and tears
