It Will Never Make It To Strictly

Just a quick update. Still in agony at times, but just to let anyone who's interested know that the salt water mouthwash DOES !!! work. As soon as the twinges start either rub the warm salty water on the area or rinse your mouth with it. Also clean your teeth straight away after eating or drinking with Sensodyne. Managed to get my appointment moved to the 29th.
A message for happy_face. I changed to this dentist about 9 months ago because I wasn't happy with my old one. Have spent an absolute fortune with this one, 35 for recomended intensive cleaning every three months and 350 for a crown a couple of months ago are just examples of some of it.I thought the problem stemed from the new crown as this is when the niggles first started but after putting a filling around the top of the crown he discovered from the xray that there was no nerve in that one so he thinks it must be the one next to it which also has a crown on, the plan is for another root canal hence the 45 mim appointment. I just hope he's right !

I'm sorry you're still in pain but by the sounds of it you have it semi under control compared to the last thread where you sounded desperate. When a dentist decides to do root treatment it means that there is a good chance of an abcess or that the filling in the tooth is too close to the nerve and it's interferred with the nerves so they have to take the nerve out. Dentist build up teeth for crowing with fillings too. I sincerely hope this will help you as it can be (as you very well know) be so incredibly painful. I'm sure you're dentist in right in doing the root treatment and once the nerves have been removed the tooth will be dead and you won't ever get any pain from it. Good luck and please do let us now how you get on. Will be thinking of you and your wallet as it's not going to be cheap.
Take Care
Happy;-)
