Last few days OH has been checking the motorhome in preparation for our holidays. He noticed the roof lining was a bit loose in a couple of places. Decided to glue it back. Discovered that the reason was it was wet. Rain had been coming in around the hatch , it had spread and about a third of the inner roof was wet through and rotten. He has had to replace the boarding and reseal wherever he could. Then put the vinyl lining back. Still has bits to do on it and we are going tomorrow afternoon. We were originally going Tuesday but had forgotten it was a bank holiday, didn't want the panicking about are we going to miss the tunnel crossing or not, so going tomorrow and stay at a campsite overnight. (Thats if we get off in time) We are going to Croatia taking a week to get there through France, Germany and Italy, a week there and a week back.
Taking laptop but not too optimistic on signals so will pop in when I can. So all behave while I'm gone!
mmm, lovely. I once drove to Greece like that (through Yugoslavia it was then) and it was fab. Have a great time. The roof will dry out in the Adriatic sunshine.
Will do Caran. Once had a similar problem with our caravan. Discovered on Skye when water filled the clothing compartment. All I had dry were my baby dolls and a pair of wellies.
