Did anybody else notice how miserable E2R looked today? She barely smiled at all.

Are you kidding, she and Phillip did not stop smiling, I thought how happy they looked.
What were you watching, corylus?! she was probably cold, but she was smiling and commentating nearly all afternoon!
She stood the whole time, it was wet and cold, yet she smiled and waved. dedicated and showed her devoted love for all
There are those of us on here who remember the coronation. That was a miserable day too but I made the point only yesterday to my OH that in all the years the Queen has been on the throne, I've often thought she looked miserable, fed up and somewhat reluctant. As if she just didn't want to be there at all.
The poor woman is 87, she stood for an hour and a half in the cold wet weather, wouldn't you be miserable? I bet she would rather have been on the sofa with a blanket over her and a cup of cocoa watching the procession on the tellie! Having said that, I don't think she looked in the least miserable, she was enjoying it and waving, as were the rest of the Royals around her. Good on her.
Sorry - just realised she stood there for FOUR hours! I would have thought someone would have made her sit down at least. Hope she is warm and sitting down and has had a nice dinner now ! Glad I watched in indoors and didn't bother trying to get up to London. She had no choice !
I'd be bloody miserable if I had to stand in the pouring rain socialising with a bunch of people I don't actually know.
If you have to stand in the freezing cold when you're 87, corylus, I hope someone slates you for not grinning...
By the way corylus is your cat getting on OK with the household now?
Hi corylus,

Missed all the shenanigans today as out all day and just in, but tommorrow we're having our street party in the afternoon and are ALL wearing royal masks, so my Prince Phillip one will be sure to have a smile on my face as I wrestle with the multiple BBQ orders......oh joy!!! aaarrghhhhhhh.

I may offend a few people if i'm feeling particularily mischievous. :0)
I thought she was incredible - at that age - amazing stamina and yes she was enjoying it while she chatted with family between waving etc
I understand that serious face is what she does when she needs to control emotion in public. I could imagine quite a bit of today would have made her misty eyed.
I hope the poor old soul had a warm air heater blowing around her nether regions, I went out this afternoon, but put on warm trousers and an overcoat, I don't think she was dressed for the weather at all, she did wonderfully well to keep so cheerfull, lovely occasion though.
I'm 33 years younger than her maj,but the thought of standing on that boat for 2 hours+ leaves me pooped thinking about it,& no potty break either!

The cat's doing fine Smurphchops, good memory!
you must have been watching a different programme to us then. Out on the podium she would have been freezing, because i know we were being fairly near to where she was.
