The sounds.

Dont know if this has been said, the sound effects last night to say that they had over 300 Technicians involved was absolute rubbish, I am not knocking the performers or the outside broadcast but it did not do justice to the performers, what do you think?

Hi Laelia, to start, where does that christian name come from? going back to the sound, I do not think that sounds did the performers justice Laelia, I DID make them sound out of tune, I do not think that was the case.

the sound was an atrocious mix !
cuts offs/ feedback./etc it was an audio disaster unlike the video coverage
and we have a top sound system, people who say it was ok obviously know nothing about audio !

Exactly deggs, I'm no Mozart but the sound mixing was cr@p, & did not do justice to the performers.

you're right the sound wasn't perfect but you need to take into account the environment.......basically a concert in the middle of a street, trees everywhere, rather large building behind and the 'funneling' effect of the Mall. Plus of course the atmospheric conditions with no roof or canopy of any substance. A lot of the sound would have got lost in the ether and nowt anyone can do about that I'm afraid. The video projections were aweome though.
