shame there is not a few more teenagers with this attitude or determination to turn there life around!
“My friends and family think I’m mental, but I don’t want to sit around in England. It is about getting out to places like Afghanistan and doing your duty for your country.”
good on the lad. If I had my time again I'd join up. Maybe not the army, but one of the other armed forces. I think it offers alot of possibilites if you get into a trade. I went to Air Cadets and it kind of put me off as it was very cliquey and I simply wasnt part of the 'in crowd'.
I enjoyed my military service ..and you're right oj, it can be the making of young people....Trouble is where mine was in a peace time situation....now they use real bullets and bombs, not ballons on sticks....
I'd hate for my kids to be in places like Afganistan....I'm not convinced that we should be there at all....MO.
