If you are running Mac/Firefox jcmartin gives good advice:
We had the hardest time getting rid of the inbox toolbar on our mac. We tried uninstalling/reinstalling, deleting all the add-ons, and it still wouldn't go away. We FINALLY got rid of it by doing the following:
1. Quit Firefox .
2. While holding down the Option key, click to open Firefox .
3. This will open up a window that gives you the option to restart Firefox in safe mode and restore some stuff .
4. I checked the first 2 and last 2 boxes on the little menu that popped up to disable all add-ons, reset toolbars and controls, reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults and restore default search engines .
5. Clicked "Make Changes and Restart" .
Tada! Hasta la vista, Inbox.toolbar
If you are running Windows:
What version of windows are you running, ie windows 7, windows vista etc, most are setup the same, what version of IE are you runnning? Is it 9 the latest?
If IE is nine: open browser, top click on tools - internet options - programs - manage add-ons. In here you can disable all the pertain to inbox by selecting on the left each section, toolbar and extensions, then search engines etc. when done here click on apply. then while still under internet options, click the general tab - type in the web page address you wish to be your home page, click on apply and okay. close the browser. Now open your control panel. Listed under the options once you click on start button. Under here it will be listed different depending on what version of windows you are running. Look for add/remove programs or programs and features. Open it and once it loads and lists all programs you have installed, scroll down to the inbox program, click on it and uninstall. Reboot system once done. If you still have trouble, try to reboot in safe mode and go to control panel and repeat steps. repost to let me know if this helped any okay? :~)
