I own my flat - which is on the second and third floor - the upper floor is an old attic conversion. There is a flat below mines.

My cat has recently been diagnosed with asthma and I am trying to make the house healthier for him. Ideally I would love to put down a wooden flooring all over the house - but realise that it is not an ideal type of flooring when there are neighbours downstairs.

Is there an alternative? Any ideas welcome - not including getting rid of the cat. It would be so tempting though.
