Making a DVD

Just tried to make a DVD with Windows DVD maker. Took some video files off my phone and converted them to WMV files using Youtube downloader. Got about 30% thru the encoding process and just stopped saying files could not be written to DVD. Is there a different file type i could convert to that would work? Preferably using Youtube downloader.

Don't forget you can only put about 4Gbytes onto a single layer DVD.

also make sure the blank you put in was a DVD and not a CD.
