llandudno question for roobidoo
Just wondered if you could advise: do you get the tram so far up happy valley, and then transfer to the cable car? or is it one or the other?
Also, can you walk back down or is it too steep/too far?

You can also walk or drive around the Orme too - Thanks to Mr roobidoo for the bit about the cable car - I'm too much of a ninny to go on it!
From memory, I think the b&b is fairly close to the tram terminus.

Crisgal the tram station is a 5 min walk from your hotel, (I live in Llandudno). You could go up to the summit on the trams and come down on the cable car, just get single tickets on them.
As roobidoo mentioned you can also drive around the Great Orme on the Marine Drive, there is a small toll to pay but well worth it. You can start at Happy Valley, drive to the Summit then back down to West Shore, or you can just go round Marine Drive without the Summit, (my great, great, great grandfather was the engineer whose company built the Marine Drive). I hope you enjoy your stay. You can walk back down the Orme, it can be a bit steep but not too bad. There are houses and farms on the lower/middle slopes, the cars need good handbrakes lol.
