What is the Sentence likely to be potential GBH with intent
My partner went out a few weeks ago and basically punched a random guy in the mouth. He was orriginally arrested for ABH. Apparently this guy had been on at him all night, but my partner did nothing about it then. For some reason a few hours later he runs up to the guy and punches him in the face. (Guy was the other side of bar) all on cctv. He has 2 drink driving offences and resisting arrest. (All commited whilst drunk) this other guy is now claiming he has a broken jaw. Police are awaiting medical records, if it is broken they want to charge with GBH with intent. Anybody have any ideas what sentencing will be?

It depends on whether "serious injury" has been caused and whether higher or lower culpability is present.
Factors like a single blow might indicate lower culpability for example but you'll see from the document.
Those 2 factors give you either a category 1,2 or 3 offence
The *starting* point and variations for each is:
Category 1 - 12 years’ custody can be 9–16 years’ custody
Category 2 - 6 years’ custody can be 5–9 years’ custody
Category 3 - 4 years’ custody can be 3–5 years’ custody
