My last one was yesterday when at the supermarket a woman had no change for the trolley and I gave her a spare trolley token I had in my purse.

His car was playing up and he'd stopped to top up the radiator and it wouldn't start again as the battery was also bugge r ed. I gave him a jump start and continued on my journey questioning my sanity for stopping at early o'clock for a bloke flagging down cars on a country lane.......

No Halo's intended, the person I cared for whom had L.D. there was no records of his family or where his Mother ( Father not known) was buried, it took me 4months of searching the web / Friends Unite To eventually find their burial place, it was bolden Nr Altrincham, up to the day I took him to her grave, the person NEVER raised his head up until I pointed out his mothers grave, Sad but an end for the person that never had contact for 60 years+.
When I was working on the road as a travelling salesman I stopped at a northern motorway station for some petrol.
A Scotsman tapped on my window and said he was a lorry driver who had to get to Southampton to pick up a load. He looked cold so I bought him a cup of coffee.
I dropped him off at Brighton train station and gave him his fare to Southampton.
He must have stolen one of my business cards, as when I arrived home in Brighton the next evening, I found he had conned ihis way into my next door neighbours house by saying he was a friend of mine.
He had got them to make a meal for him. I was furious and apologised to my neighbours.
I took him to a B&B and paid for one night's stay.
I told he that if he came back to my house I would report him to the police.
After that I never gave a lift to anyone.
