I love starched bedlinen. Spray starch not enough. Do any of you use the old fashioned stuff? How do you do it? In the w. machine ...what are the consequences for the machine?

I starch my napkins using liquid starch in the washing machine.

It's done fairly infrequently and would think that an occasional cycle at a hotter setting would deal with any residual starch deposits.
I prefer silk. You can't starch that.

Thank you Ecclescake. I'll do as you suggest.
Wish I could afford silk Atalanta. Maybe some day..... In the meantime I'll just have to put up with my 1,000 thread Egyptian cotton. Poor me!!!
Starch my bedlinen? No way! I use a spray starch on my table linens though and I'm pleased with the results. Maybe I'll track down some of the old fashioned starch and give it a go on my duvet covers, but I wouldn't use it on my sheets
Lurpak.
