just wondered if anyne can help me my ex has bin charged with common assust with knifesx2 on my friend and my brother he was not meant to come to my house that night but theatened me e e if i didnt let him in he come in and kick off anyway and showed me the knife in his hand i had no choice but to do what he asked he came in and saw the children everything was fine for a while then he changed and kicked of and then grapped another knive out of the kitchen and stood at the top of the stairs as my brothers came to help me didnt relise while he had the knifes on him hes with our 2 year old daughter as hes telling me to make them go you got to bear in mind he has past drug offences and last june he was arressed and guilty og assault by beating stangling my 16 year old son and again on me all he got for that was £1000 fine which he never paid !he has a restaining order on him not to come near my son why i said he couldnt come here but the order was never served to him but he knew it was there, he went to court and changed his plea to guilty he was meant to be sentenced last friday but for some reason they prosponed it till 27 this month the police woman i had was lovley and i told her the turth about our past fact is he raped me and he is no on bail for that and on high risk from him please can someone tell me do u think he be send downn and why the proponed it for so long bearing in mind this happed in jan p

January's not long in terms of the criminal/court process, IMO. I hope you have a panic button installed in your house now?

Knife crime is rated as serious. I am very surprised that an offence involving knives is just common assult especially with his previous history .Are you sure that is all he is charged with ?
There is a government recommendation that all knife crime is punished by a prison sentence . Common assult is virtually never a prison sentence.
Reading the question it seems there is a lot more behind this, I am surprised your ex is not on remand .

hi im bin red flagged to mobile and landlines and had locks put on all my doors, the policewomon we had was lovley and she was trying to change it to affay and took it to the top but said it mite change in court as she knows what kind of man he is, that day he bin theanting me and told me that he was going to my mums and dads to kick off and he had film footage that they should see, i didnt know what he meant about the film, anyway he came here and had the cramra with him as well as the knife like he said that he was going in with me if i said no he go in anyway, i had no choice i was scared! it turns out that there was footage on the cramra and he done it without my knowloge c i d said i could do voidium but i watched it i could show that to the courts, but i surpose what im asking is will the courts see how he even got into my house by theats to me etc he came here to cause trouble shawly he must get time for this . he a person who always gets away with it like i said he stangled my 16 year old and beat me and got a stupid fine of £1000 which he never paid will that go agaist him?he ran off with our daughter that night as well he is a danger and he seems to just walk of with nothing, and why have they proponed the sencening till 27th , i didnt have to go to court was going to give me special measures but said my statment had everything in it so i didnt have to go

This to me seems like a much worse crime than common assult. Affray is a much more serious offence so if it gets changed to that he is almost certainly going to jail. However if the charge stays at common assult he is not likedly to go to prison even with his previous history.
I an genuinely astounded that if what you say is true this person is not in jail already for the offences he has commited before this.
Threatening a child with a knife is a very serious offence and I just can not see why it has only been charged as common assult.

the police woman at the time was lovley cps wont agree because affay is in pulic places but it was in my home her arguement was the pulic came in my home to help but like she said hopfully change in court i have a lot to thank that policewoman for she has changed my life for the good i surpose i have to see whether they take in to account all the facts he needs to get time, not saying that out of spite but he a danger, he bail for the rapes is up on the 14 but like i was told could take 5 months for cps to make a desion
