Referendum for UK re the mebership of EU
There seems to be much speculation amongst all the main political parties that there is a liklihood (yes really) of us being asked if we wish to remain in the EU. Would you wish to have the UK leave the European Union in an organised manner, as is possible, some time soon?

Despite "decimalisat ion" and " metrication" in the UK we have made no real effort to complete joining the EU in the last 27 years. We may have changed our coinage to decimal currency, but then stuck with the pound not the Euro. We may have gone "metric" for day-to-day measurements but still persist in using miles.

Nigel Farage is a pompous fascist, according to methyl, and the UKIP oppose all immigration.
/// Policy extract from the UKIP, “End mass, uncontrolled immigration. UKIP calls for an immediate five-year freeze on immigration for permanent settlement. We aspire to ensure that any future immigration does not exceed 50,000 people p.a.” ///
If one is a fascist if they support this, then I would think most sensible thinking persons must be fascist.

First of all may I thank the ABers for taking an interest in my post and in the main, giving solid and sensible comments. I think that to sum up the debate it is obvious that the voters of the United Kingdom do desire the opportunity to engage in a series of clear and pertinent referendum questions about our position within political Europe. The questions should not be too many and they should be clear and unambiguous. I am old enough to remember President De Gaulle repeating the answer to our applications as Non, Non, Non......but eventually Edward Heath took us in.
It seems to me that what the majority of voters will look for is :-
1. Shall we remain outside the currency.
2. Shall we withdraw from the Union.
3. Should our trading horizons be to anyone who wants to trade.
4. Re-engage with the Commonwealth if they will have us.
Whether our politicians of any persuasion will grant us the priviledge of making our collective felings known, is of course something else.
