Post op herbal care for joint surgery

I have a 1yr old staffy x bitch who has two luxated patellaes. She will undergo surgery (1 at a time) to correct this, but I was wondering what herbal medication I could give her before and after the ops to assist and possibly speed her recovery. I have already started her on glucosamine.

Apart from herbal remedies being potentially dangerous, if they worked in general we wouldn't be giving them the fancy name of 'herbal remedies'. Vets and doctors would be using the active ingredient in what we call 'medicines', or not using them at all !
