... huge piece of metal in rear bike tyre, fortunately not at too high a speed - about 40 miles from home on way for few days oop north.
Tyre was f*cked (technical term) - called recovery to get home - bike now at garage for new tyre until Friday, Dave's travel plans (and fun) knackered.
Could have been worse I suppose - was poodling along at about 50mph behind a slowmobile, waiting for a chance to get past - bike just felt 'wrong' so I pulled over and found very unhappy rear tyre :+(
B*m, wondered why you were late in arriving, I made sure the bunting was'nt
tangled in the trees,so you would know which house!! Mind you, you would have heard the racket that the early morning crowd were making, only takes
a couple of bottles of wine and they are anybodies!! Barbie was good!! lol
Glad you are ok..not as serious as it could have been.
Sunny Dave, thank goodness you are ok. Like others before me have said, the bike , while important is just that, a bike. Your plans might well be messed up , so long as that is all you suffer that's ok !!
So shall us Oop Narf take down all this bunting? It'll only take you a day and a half on the old Honda 50!
Glad you are ok. That could have been really nasty.
Thank you all - it wasn't very dramatic - just thought "that's not feeling right" and coasted to a stop - then very efficient and friendly recovery man from GEM arrived in about 45 mins
