Post box gone!

The village post box has mysteriously disappeared, is there any rule about places having to have post boxes (we used to have two, but one got removed when the PO shut). Thanks.

I don't know the details but our local paper had a story in it this morning about a village losing their letter box. I think that it is happening all over - the world is in meltdown.

Just did a post box location search thing and the nearest one now is about four miles away - pretty rubbish for those people who don't drive or aren't able to go very far.

They moved ours as it was little used, moved it about a quarter of a mile away.

Our normal postman is a miserable git - he scrumples the letters up and shoves them in the letter box and walks round with a lit fag hanging out of his mouth (I appreciate it is probably a crap job).

Mind you, you had probably walk round to his gaff and give it to him rather than trying to post it.
