I reckon the worst is when enjoying the cuppa and you've finished it. Then you pick up the mug/cup again only to discover it's been drunk.
I've just done that myself Dee Sa.Had to boil kettle again.Aaaah nice cup of hot tea.
do it all the time...find mugs all over the garden too !!!
having 2 young kids i never have a hot cup of tea but as i dont take milk sometimes cold tea can be refreshing
Just bung it in the microwave. Experiment with times to get it hot but not boiled (50 seconds or so for a stone cold mug in my micro).

It works fine as long as you are using skimmed or semi-skimmed milk.
I made my boss a cuppa when he came in at about 10am yesterday morning. He forgot about it and it was still on his desk at 3pm so he just gave it a ping in the microwave. Seemed a bit gross to me.
Yes, I do that all the time at work. And yesterday I surpassed myself by going downstairs to make a cup of tea, not realising the mug I was holding was half full of cold tea, so leaving a trail of tea behind me and all down my skirt.
Costco do an insulated mug, china inside, stainless steel outside, with a removable lid, quite cheap, too. It will keep tea hot and drinkable for about 45 minutes, and seems indestructible.

There are double walled china tall cups around, too
I often microwave cold tea but not coffee I don't often leave that though...
