I just put them in front of my normal specs, looks a bit dorky but who can see you in a dark cinema.

thanks chuckywucky will give it a try although it may be a bad choice of film... I can imagine I will watch most of it through my fingers anyway.
i suggest you watch 2d anyway, it will not diminish your experience.

i saw it in 2d, and enjoyed it
I've seen Prometheus in 3D... very dark and the 3D wasn't that spectacular. If I'd had the choice I'd have gone for the 2D version.
I'm yet to see a film that I felt was enhanced in any way by it's use of 3D.

In fact the trailers before the films are often more impressive.
The 3d glasses just fit over your normal glasses usually - my glasses are quite neat though so not sure how they would be over really bulky ones.

I think I'd better google that one In a previous post I suggested I'd probably spend the bulk of the film with my face in his lap...

Thought it was something like that,,,,, I will leave tricks like that for the younger chaps on this site Whats wrong with the drape the mac over your laps one
Whilst Rowan has her face buried in my lap during the 'scary' bits, I will devour all the Popcorn, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and the Slushy Drink !!!!! ;-000))

no chance pumpkin the popcorn is all mine
3D does tend to be darker. On the other hand, if you see 2D you're usually left wondering why actors throw so much stuff at the camera.
Whilst Rowan has her face buried in my lap

I trust this is equally hard to see in a dark cinema
