Mr Alba was invited to go with one of his brothers. He's been like a kiddie in a sweet shop all week.
New line, new hooks, new floats.

On the basis that he's going to catch a load of fish (yeah, right) anyone fancy a trout?

fresh water unfortunately, the younger Alba and I prefer sea trout, he reckons it might be brown trout but thinks the river will be too high.

I think you're right Rowan.

It's been years since he's been fit enough, it's nice to see.
yummy when cooked in the microwave with a lemon wedge or two..doesn't take long...
Theres a lot of bones though, ain't there.
Tony...if you take care after cooking the whole spine comes out clean bones et al
Question Author
Head off, unnecessary fins off, gutted, stuffed with slice of lemon, wrapped in tin foil, bunged in oven for not long at all. Unwrap, lift spine out and bones should come away. Serve with new spuds and veggies of your choice.

He goes well prepared. I think it was just an excuse. Gets him out in the fresh air and if it gets his mind of his ailments, then all to the good.
