He slated Chico who was crap. He should remain loyal to his groups no matter what. I feel not just for the Conway sisters but for all the other "good" acts who have been booted out ahead of this joker who clearly can't sing. Maybe every page 3 girl should apply next year. Just flaunt your body and who gives a toss about your voice.

ask me 2 wks ago and i wd say get rid of chico - but now, he was entertaining - the conways wer a mix between the corrs and the nolans - neither of which i wd rate - can u honestly say you would buy a conways sister single in 6 mths time?

Its no good having the show if a judge cannot be truthful even about his own acts, although I dont agree with everything he says he had to be truthful and was.

If Simon was being really honest and unpatronising then he would have sent the girls home two weeks ago instead of Maria. I agree with bloodycheap, it is a farce and the one person who ever made any sense in this whole show lost the plot last night.

chico is a bit of a joke in my opinion but compared to the conway sisters he was more entertaining and more "x factor" than they were so i think simon did the right desicion.

The conways sisters when they were singing to save themselves were too weak vocally struggling to overcome the accompanying music and didnt play to the crowd or camera enough. Chico although not a fantastic musical talent did give a better performance and was a stronger vocal ability.

Simon in my opinion did the right thing no matter how hard it was to vote of his own act. He actually chose the better of the two acts, It will be tougher for chico now tho!

twiglet 4 frog......I do see where you are coming from. If it was possible then perhaps both should have been voted off.
I wonder now if Simon did it to take the ever increasing recent pressure off Louis. If you think about it if Louis voted off Chico the cry would have been the "Irish" thing again and if he had voted off the Conway Sisters he would probably been called a traitor to the "Irish". He couldn't win. So Simon made the decision for him.

The Conway sisters were weak. Chico did well performing a Michael Jackson song. Simon only said that he thought he was trying to be Michael Jackson. I saw chico doing his own song last week and thought he was a cheap cruise liner singer but this week was better.
