What do I tell the potential insurer?
I want to shop around before renewing my insurance. Both my sons had an accident on my poicy which wasn't their fault (in one case my car was parked when hit and in the other it was in a queue of traffic when hit by the swinging door of a lorry going the opposite way). Do these still constitue "claims" when I'm asked by potential insurers when I'm shopping around? Rightly or wrongly I'm sure I can hear the cash till ringing when I mention these over the phone!

If you come to make a claim later and there is anything you haven't mentioned, they can say your policy is null and void. But do stress the fact that it wasn't your or your sons' fault and that the other side paid up.
