Jools Holland Hogmanay Show

I was recently told that the Jools Holland Hogmanay Show is actually pre recorded.It is actually taped a few weeks before hand.Does anyone know if this is true?.I have always enjoyed watching his show on Hogmanay night but it wont feel the same watching it this year if this turns out to be true.
