Hi,
I have mistakenly (as was promptly pointed out!) posted this in the 'How it Works' section, but here it is in all its glory.
Someone seems to be piggybacking my email address book and is sending adverts to all my contacte for a Chinese company selling computer products, this has happened twice now, once in March and again this month.
Cakeboy sent me a detailled reply and I have taken all his advice and downloaded and run all the spyware programmes he suggested as well as the one I currently use, changed my password and run my anivirus.
Question is, will I just have to wait and see what happens next month or is there another check I can make now?
Thank you for your time

not seen cake's reply ... but sounds about right in principle.

you say YOU did it ... you don't say if IT did it ... did the scan(s) actually say they'd found anything?

if you got results ... you should get results ...

Spybot found 266 cookies, AdAware found a further 364 (which were considered medium risk) and Windows Defender found nothing. The AVG runs every morning and the updates come in regularly.
As you have said, I did get results so I'm hoping to get results, I was just wondering if I could do more.. a sort of belt and braces approach.
Thanks
