I am so bored with the the slugs eating everything so want to replace some of my more leafy plants with ornamental grasses. Please tell me they won't eat them too!

Never heard of slugs eating grasses, but as someone else posted, other things might! There are millions of solutions to keep slugs at bay; my favourite is a ring of sharp sand around each plant ; and if possible a ring of copper wire (strip out some old 3-core electric cable and find the bare copper earth wire - slugs and snails won't come near.) With regard to airborne attack from God knows what, spray your grasses with used washing up water; dishwater liquid deters most nasty flying thingy nasties, and it shouldn't harm the grass. Good luck
