I wish I could help you kh. I dont know anything about prostrate cancer responding to radiotherapy but my cousin age 58 had lung and kidney cancer and is responding well with her radiotherapy. Take care. Kay.

I`m afraid I cannot say how successful mine is as I only finished treatment two weeks ago. But I was given to understand that by all the medical staff that I have no reason at all to have any worries about the future. As you will probably already know, the treatment itself is quite simple and any side effects are of no real consequence. As it involves the prostate, it does mean the bladder reacts, but this means increased trips to toilet (including nights) - as mine was for seven weeks, it meant I was meeting other men whilst waiting - and I must say they all seemed quite cheerful and any side-effects did not have much effect on their life. I do hope it does go well.
hello kh
my dad is 86 now and was diagnosed with prostate cancer 7 years ago.
he responded well and although he is not in the best of health now, none of his ailments are due to his prostate.
good luck to him xx
