As a treat I think I will let her come online for a while to say how happy she is.
I actually laughed out loud at the 'sad faced old gentleman' one and the one where the 'pedestrian ran for the pavement, but I got him' (but I have had a crappy day).

<<pst - sibton - what other thread?>>

Many decades ago Big Sis worked for GAFLAC - General Accident Fire & Life Assurance Company and they had their own in house magazine 'Generalities' which contained many such one-liners from their claims. Always a good read :)

I also remember the story of a trainee reporter whose first piece included a description of a man 'driving his car into a tree'. The editor told him his phrasing was poor and he should have reported that the man's car was
'in collision with a tree'.

On his second report, the trainee wrote that another man's car had been
'in collision with the sea'.
I have just seen moony's reply to sibton ^
