As some may have noted yesterday I heralded the arrival of Summer.

Today is the official solstice, but yesterday was a wonderful peaceful day here

Yesterday was nice here in the wilds of Yorkshire, not too hot, which meant that I was able to wash the outside paintwork without getting my thin patch (on top of my head!) sunburnt. Very pleasant.

Yesterday was cloudy and humid here BTW, so not too pleasant either.

Yesterday never really got going in deepest Berkshire, very heavy cloud with brief glimpses of sunshine.

I've just been out and encountered a gaggle of girls wearing very flimsy outfits en route to the races. I fear they are going to be very bedraggled by the end of the day :-(

it was a great summer when i went for lunch it was gloriously sunny, when we emergend some three hours later it was back to rain

It lashed down first thing here, but the sun's out now - but it's very steamy, real banana-growing weather.
