I have an old fish serving set - knife and fork - in a satin lined box. On reverse of implements it is stamped J E & S S . There is a tiny mark that I cannot make out. Is there a market for things like this?

They were manufactured by "Joseph Elliot & Sons" of Sheffield and are probably electro plated silver.
As to the value, I have no idea. Sorry.
From the marks, it sounds like it is by Joseph Elliot & Sons from Sheffield. Is the next mark "EP" (means electro plated). Lots of this type of stuff about. I've not been able to find a value, but from the hundreds I've seen at antiques fairs they are normally priced at £50-£100 (although bear in mind, I don't know if this make is particularly collectible so it could be more).
Sorry, must type faster!

Thanks, yes I think it is EP. Very pleased.

Sold for £29.99. Seems cheap to me, but they are only plate.
