I know this may sound strange.... but does anybody else get a strange tingley feeling when ever they see a cityscape at night, with all the lights of thousands of skyscrapers' rooms lit up? Like the view from 'Frasier', out of his window in the background. I don't know why i love it so much! I don't suppose anyone knows where I could get some of this magnificient pictures?
I remember having the same feeling as a child when out at night in a car. This was especially so when we were coming back into the city and could see all the twinkling house and street lights in the distance. Why? Don't know! But I still get it now. Perhaps it reminds us of stars. Perhaps we sub-consciously think of the warmth and comfort behind those lit-up windows. Perhaps these are stabs in the dark?! Great question wizard, got me thinking now!!
Try Junction 26 of the M62 - looking down on Elland and Halifax. If you can't get there, let me know and I'll find a way to send you the pic. If you intend to make the trip yourself, do make sure it will be a clear night or you'll see not very much.
ey cheers for all your answers guys, glad theres some more people like me!!! And cheers for all your recommended places to visit which I have every intention of doing so! Thanks again!
