I know Sunday is crossword answers day but I need some help.

My waist measurement is 34inches, my hip measurement is 40 inches. My waist is catching up with my hips. I will be sixty in three weeks time and I don't want to be a little, round, elderly lady.

I have started walking again trying to do 10,000 steps per day and usually manage that but I do need to target my waist. I can't do crunches, sit ups etc because of my crunchy neck.

Any ideas please.

Right, I'm off for a walk. Laters.
If you are only nine stone ten, what are you worrying about. I am (at the moment) eleven stone two, and only 5ft tall, so plenty of reason to lose a bit (or even a lot). Sounds as if all you need is a bit of toning (not tonying) to firm up your muscles.
Oi ^^^^
Sorry Tilly I have been out most of the day. With regard to your question. The first time out I walked one minute, jogged 2 minutes for 10 minutes. It was so hard I could not believe it! Now after 6 weeks I can run, (not walk or jog) for 30 mins. I am following the "up & running" programme called "zero to hero". There is also "couch to 5k" you could do which is similar. It doesn't matter how many calories you put in, you just have to burn a few more off to get in shape.
