Rum Punch:

1.75 litres of water,450g of sugar,1 lemon,4 oranges,300ml strong tea,600ml rum.

Put the water and sugar in a pan with the thinly pared rinds of lemon and 1 orange. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, bring to the boil and boil for 5 mins.Remove the pan from the heat and add the juice of the lemon and all the oranges, the tea and the rum. Strain and serve hot or cold.

Party Punch:

1.2 litres of cider,175 ml brandy,175 ml sherry,1 bottle soda water,1 slice each of lemon, orange and grapefruit (or other fruit if available), a sprig of mint.

Mix all together and stand the punch on ice for 30 mins before serving. Maybe also decorated ice cubes with a touch of colour.

Another party punch

1 bottle vodka

1 bottle archers

2-3 bottles champangne or dry fizzy wine

at least 2 cartons cranberry or cranberry and raspberry juice to taste

fresh lime juice - 6 or 8 of them for this much

Its like a giant woo-woo cocktail but better!!
